I am not sure how to blog again so have to post in the comments for today. Chris has left for work. He will work from about 11.30am til anytime after about 8pm. So if anyone wants to come and visit then we ahve our evenings free! Day two started after a bit of a rough night with Daisy. She is sleeping on the floor and keeps rolling off the beddiing and sleeping on the floor tiles. I wake every half hour or so and move her back and cover her up as the airconditioning is on and it can get a bit chilly. So the day started a bit slow. Daisy is still a bit tired so we are having a day in today. She is sleeping again now so it won't be long and she will be on track. We bought her a little push along plastic truck and she is just loving it. She pushes it along sideways most of the time on the slippery tiles. Last night she woke up about 11pm and wanted to play with us and during this she stood up!! It was long enough for Chris to get my attention and then she fell over. She thought this was the best thing since sliced cheese so for the two hours we had to waatch her do it again and again! We all finally got to sleep about 1am local time. Tonight we will try and get some routine. I had a peek in another room and found an electric bench top stove so I asked and we now have a little stove to cook on. I have been feeding Daisy out of jars to some mashed sweet potato and peas are the order of the day for dinner I think. We had our first indian dinner last night. We ordered home delivery from the reception and it wa lovely! I had a rice dish and spinach. Chris also ordered a brown dish of something that was sooo hot that i had to end up drinking the long life milk that I detest!! We seem to have survived the experience though we both said that we don't want to see where the food is actually cooked! I am totally paranoid about disease and sickness at the moment but I think it will settle over the next few days as we get some sleep and get used to things. In the morning we are going to visit another two apartment that Dell think will be more suitable. Apparently one has a pool and child's play area! The photo I posted is a general street scene. This one was taken in a mid range area of town and just outside the pizza hut resturant where we all ate lunch. There are trolleys and trolleys of mangoes and i can't wait to buy some but I will do one day at a time at the moment. I have bought some apples and will put them onto boil now for some puree which is still her favourite.
Oh--it all sounds so fantastic! Such a good idea to make a permanent record of your adventure! Hope you all manage to get a bit more regular sleep, though. Having the bench-top cooker will really help, too. Lots of love, M & C XXX
